Hello moms and friends~
My whole life has been flipped upside down since I had my baby boy in May 2016. Having a precious, and sometimes tiring, baby really changes everything! That's why I'm starting a new blog, to reflect my new life. I have the experience and the education to design my new home, but I'm learning how to be a new momma each and every day.
After earning my BA in History at UC Santa Cruz I moved back to SoCal. I completed a 3 year graduate-level program through UCLA Extension for my Certificate in Interior Design, and followed up with my Masters of Interior Architecture in a joint-study program with Cal Poly Pomona. That is when I started my first blog, 'interior MISMATCH."
I worked at Calico Corners in California, and fell in love with custom designs . When my fiancé and I moved to Chicago I worked 2 part-time jobs. As a Design Assistant at Jennifer Harris Interiors, I drew floor plans and sourced fabric. I was also a Home Stylist at West Elm. Then I took a different turn as a Design Project Manager at Gold Leaf Design Group.
My husband and I decided to take one more road trip and move here, to Oregon where I was an interior designer at Ethan Allen. The best part is seeing how much joy my clients get when they see their room come to life. That is why I am opening my own design services for clients near and far. Stay tuned for more information on my stay-at-home-mom business!
I hope you'll join me as I beautify our new Oregon home room by room, project by project, and learn a few things along the way. I will also share my ups and downs of mommy hood, and I hope to learn from your experiences too. We're all in this together, right? A beautiful home and a happy family is just what I need these days. Hence my new blog, 'Decor & Diapers'.
